St Jerome Library

St Jerome Library was launched during the late 1990s by Fr John Lee. In 2003, Fr Gregoire van Giang, then parish priest of OLPS, shifted the library from the second floor to the ground floor facing the canteen. After its major renovation this year, the library is now newly located next to the Youth cafe “The Nest”.

It is now a cosy corner where you can read or bring out a book to browse, while having your breakfast at the cafe. The library currently houses a variety of books for adults and children, mostly donated by parishioners.

The Library provides a wide range of children and adults spiritual and inspirational books in both English and Chinese. There are also reference books, popular with those who intend to go on pilgrimage tour, and guide/study books are of great help to the leaders of the ministries or study groups for evangelizing, teaching, planning and organizing workshops/retreats.

Books, CDs and VCDs are available for loan to members who wish to seek an in-depth understanding of Catholic faith, knowledge of Church history and for spiritual/ interior growth. Instant registration and membership are free for the loan of books.

For those interested to help out, lay ministers are rostered to perform library duties. Join us!
