St Anne Choir

Overview

The choir was formed in the late 1970s, and at that time was affiliated with the Chinese Choir. It was then known as the CWL Choir under the leadership of Dorothy Chua and Catherine Koh. Later Cecilia Yang took charge when Dorothy left for Canada.

Fr. Francis Leong came on the scene and the choir was renamed St. Anne after CWL’s patron saint.

When Fr. Leong left, Fr. John Lee, the former parish priest, took up the leadership until 2001. Since January 2002, the choir has come under the charge of Renaldo Raquiza.
Presently, the choir is made up of 15 elderly members. The choir sings at the Friday Evening Mass at 6.00 pm as well as at other liturgical events like Ash Wednesday, etc.
