Catechetical Office

Overview

This Office, together with the Children And Teens Catechetics Ministry, provide on-going faith formation to baptised children and teens. The Ministry is run by a team of dedicated volunteers, catering to about 1,300 children ranging from 7 to 16 years of age.

This dedicated team of catechists oversees the planning and implementation of the catechetical programme in accordance with guidelines issued by the Catechetical Directorate of the Archdiocese.

The catechists prepare children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Catechism Sessions:

  • Children Catechetics Primary Levels (L1-L6)
    Saturdays 3.00 pm – 4.15 pm; 4.45 pm – 6.00 pm
    Sundays 8.45 am – 10.00 am; 10.30 am – 11.45 am
  • Teens Catechetics Secondary Levels (L7-L10)
    Saturdays, 3.00pm - 4.30pm; 4.45pm - 6.15pm
    Sundays, 8.45am - 10.15am; 10.30am - 12.00pm

NOTE: RCIC and RCIY is no longer conducted in the parish since 2014.

Children/Teens aged 9-13 years can attend a Bridging Course conducted by OFC (Office of Catechesis) based at the Catholic Archdiocese Education Centre at Highland Road). Register at the Catechist Office, Level 2.
